Mahindra’s latest electric SUVs, the XEV 9e and BE 6, have taken the Indian automotive market by storm, securing an astounding ₹8472 crore in booking value (at ex-showroom price) within the first 24 hours of opening. The electric SUVs amassed a total of 30,179 bookings, a remarkable achievement given that total electric passenger vehicle sales in India for the entire calendar year 2024 were approximately 1 lakh units.
Strong Customer Demand and Preference
The booking split stands at 56% for the XEV 9e and 44% for the BE 6. Notably, the top-end Pack Three, which features a powerful 79 kWh battery, dominated the orders, accounting for 73% of total bookings across both models. This overwhelming response highlights the strong customer enthusiasm for Mahindra’s next-generation electric SUVs and reinforces the rising demand for premium EVs in India.
A Milestone for Mahindra’s UNLIMIT India Vision
Mahindra’s success with the XEV 9e and BE 6 underscores consumer confidence in its UNLIMIT India vision, which focuses on delivering cutting-edge, world-class electric SUVs that seamlessly integrate luxury, performance, and technology.
