Suzuki, Daihatsu, and Toyota to Launch Mini-Commercial Electric Vans in 2025

Suzuki Motor Corporation (Suzuki), Daihatsu Motor Co., Ltd. (Daihatsu), and Toyota Motor Corporation (Toyota) have announced their joint commitment to launching mini-commercial van electric vehicles (BEVs) in fiscal 2025.

This upcoming mini-commercial van BEV is the result of a collaboration between the three automakers, combining Suzuki and Daihatsu’s expertise in small vehicles with Toyota’s advanced electrification technology. The vehicle will feature a BEV system optimized for mini-commercial vehicles, catering to the evolving demands of last-mile logistics.

The project also involves Commercial Japan Partnership Technologies Corporation, which played a key role in the planning phase to ensure the vehicle meets the industry’s efficiency and sustainability requirements.
