Toyota Motor Corporation has announced the launch of its all-new Alphard and Vellfire Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicle (PHEV) models, set to go on sale in Japan on January 31, 2025. Alongside these six-seater PHEVs, improved versions of the gasoline and Hybrid Electric Vehicle (HEV) models of Alphard and Vellfire will hit the market earlier.

- BEV-mode driving allows for a 73 km range using only battery power, suitable for daily trips.
- Auto BEV/HEV mode switching ensures optimal fuel efficiency by adapting to driving conditions.
- Convenient Charging and Power Supply:
- Offers rapid charging capability, with 80% charging achieved in approximately 38 minutes.
- Features Vehicle-to-Home (V2H) technology, enabling the use of stored battery electricity as household power during emergencies.
- Luxurious Interiors:
- Exclusive 19-inch aluminum wheels, Ultrasuede® ceiling, and a woodgrain steering wheel create a premium cabin experience.
Enhancements to Gasoline and HEV Models:
- All models now come with a Digital Inner Mirror featuring built-in dash cams.
- Premium features like a JBL sound system and 14-inch rear entertainment screens are available on higher trims.
- A new “Precious Metal” exterior color option is exclusive to the Vellfire.

Alphard Models:
- Starting at 5,100,000 JPY for the base HEV (X Grade, 8-seater, 2WD).
- PHEV Executive Lounge: 10,650,000 JPY (E-Four, 6-seater).
Vellfire Models:
- Starting at 6,700,000 JPY for the Z Premier Grade (2.4L Turbo, 2WD).
- PHEV Executive Lounge: 10,850,000 JPY (E-Four, 6-seater).
Production and Availability:
Manufactured at Toyota Auto Body Co., Ltd., the monthly sales target is set at 8,600 units, with PHEV models accounting for 200 units.
