Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. (M&M Ltd.), one of India’s foremost automotive manufacturers, announced record-breaking sales for October 2024, with total auto sales reaching 96,648 units, marking a robust 20% year-on-year growth. This includes both domestic sales and exports.
In the utility vehicle (UV) segment, Mahindra achieved its highest-ever monthly sales, delivering 54,504 units in the domestic market—reflecting a 25% increase from the previous year—and 55,571 units overall, including exports. The company’s domestic commercial vehicle (CV) sales reached 28,812 units, with the light commercial vehicle (LCV) category (2–3.5T) showing a notable 17% rise.
“We are thrilled to record our highest-ever SUV sales of 54,504 units and total volume of 96,648 units in October,” said Veejay Nakra, President, Automotive Division, M&M Ltd. “The month began on a high note with the Thar ROXX achieving 1.7 lakh bookings within 60 minutes, and the positive momentum carried through the festive season across our SUV lineup.”
Domestic and Export Sales Highlights
- Utility Vehicles: 54,504 units (25% increase year-on-year).
- Commercial Vehicles (LCV < 2T): 3,935 units (9% decline), while LCV (2T–3.5T) rose by 17%.
- 3-Wheelers (including electric): 9,826 units, up by 5%.
- Total Exports: 3,506 units, an 89% increase over October 2023.
