Yulu Launches Shared EV Service in Hyderabad, Aims to Revolutionize Urban Mobility

Yulu, India’s largest shared electric vehicle (EV) mobility technology firm, has launched its innovative service in Hyderabad, Telangana. The inauguration event, graced by Mr. Jayesh Ranjan (IAS), Special Chief Secretary, Information Technology and Industries & Commerce, Government of Telangana, featured an energetic EV rally by delivery partners from Swiggy, Blinkit, Zepto, and other brands. This launch marks a significant milestone in Yulu’s mission to transform urban mobility in India by offering clean and shared transportation solutions. Initially, Yulu will deploy its purpose-built DeX EVs in the Cyberabad Commissionerate area, a hub of knowledge and technology. MINI has launched the new MINI Cooper S and the all-electric MINI Countryman in India, marking the debut of the latest generation of the iconic MINI family in the country. Both models are available as completely built-up units (CBU) and can be booked through authorized MINI dealers or online at shop.mini.in. Deliveries are set to begin in September 2024. HRTC Announces Acquisition Of 297 Electric Buses And Replacement Of Old Volvo Models

Deputy Chief Minister Mukesh Agnihotri announced on Friday that the Himachal Road Transport Corporation (HRTC) will acquire nearly 300 electric vehicles and replace 24 old Volvo buses with new ones. During a Board of Directors (BoD) meeting, Agnihotri discussed strategies to boost the corporation’s revenue. The appointment process for 357 bus conductors has been completed, and they will start their duties soon, according to the deputy CM. The meeting also resulted in a decision to raise the daily honorarium for wage workers from Rs 375 to Rs 400, Agnihotri mentioned. HRTC is undergoing a fleet modernization program. This includes the acquisition of 297 electric vehicles, with tenders expected to be released soon. Also, new models will replace around 24 older Volvo buses.

Servotech’s Incharz And Prateek Group Announce EV Charging Station Rollout In Delhi-NCR

Incharz, a division of Servotech Power Systems, has partnered with real estate developer Prateek Group to establish e-charging stations at its sites in the Delhi-NCR region. The agreement was signed by Incharz CEO Prem Prakash and Prateek Group President Sunil Kumar Mittal on Wednesday in Noida, according to a statement from Servotech Power Systems. Under the agreement, Prateek Group will provide locations for public electric vehicle (EV) charging stations, while Incharz will handle the design, supply, installation, commissioning, operation, and maintenance of these stations in the National Capital Region (NCR). Incharz CEO Prem Prakash remarked, “Our advanced hardware and software solutions will guarantee reliable EV charging stations. By introducing EV charging to residential and commercial complexes, we are making EVs more accessible and convenient for owners, thus promoting their widespread use.”

DMRC’s New Electric Auto Fleet To Improve Last-Mile Travel Across 40 Stations

The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) is set to enhance last-mile connectivity by adding over 1,100 electric three-wheelers to its fleet. According to an official, 1,183 e-autos out of the 2,299 permits issued by the Transport Department have already been registered. These e-autos will operate at around 40 DMRC stations, each equipped with charging points and dedicated parking spaces. The remaining 1,116 e-autos are anticipated to be registered by the end of August. Currently, e-autos are available at metro stations in areas such as Chhatarpur, Dwarka, Rohini, and northwest Delhi. The permits for these e-autos have been granted to authorized operators at these locations. An additional 1,116 e-autos are expected to be registered by the end of August. This includes 779 general electric autos as well as 337 specifically for women drivers.
