In the dynamic landscape of Indian startups, EMotorad emerges as a beacon of innovation and resilience, backed by cricket legend MS Dhoni as a strategic partner.

The company unveils plans to establish the world’s largest e-cycle gigafactory, spanning 2,40,000 sq ft in Pune, India. This facility, built on advanced Gen-2 platforms and adhering to Industry 4.0 standards, aims to manufacture over 500,000 e-cycles annually to meet burgeoning domestic and international demand for electric cycles and EVs.

Kunal Gupta, Founder & CEO of EMotorad, expresses optimism about India’s economic transition and the company’s role in it. He emphasizes the significance of brick and mortar manufacturing capabilities, envisioning deeper penetration into European and North American markets.

The e-cycle gigafactory will be developed in four phases, with phase one set to become South Asia’s largest integrated e-cycle gigafactory. It will focus on giga component production initially, with later phases enhancing mechanical components manufacturing.

Aditya Oza, Co-founder and Chief Marketing Officer, highlights EMotorad’s commitment to innovation and excellence. He underscores the synergy between startup dynamism and manufacturing stability as key drivers of the company’s success.

Supported by recent series B funding from Panthera Group, Xto10x, and MS Dhoni, EMotorad aims for global expansion, targeting markets in Europe and the US. Their impressive domestic growth and leading position in e-cycle exports position them for international dominance.

EMotorad’s journey will be showcased at major expos, including Eurobike in Frankfurt, Germany, in July 2024, highlighting India’s prowess in electric mobility.
