TVS Motor has commenced the export of its BMW electric two-wheeler. In March 2024, TVS exported a combined total of 924 units, including both its iQube Electric and the designated “BMW EV,” as per the latest export figures provided by the Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers (SIAM).

In March 2024, the company manufactured 15,246 units of these two electric vehicles, as per the SIAM figures. However, when approached for comment, TVS declined to provide any statement.

In the preceding months, TVS exported 113 units of the iQube electric in February and 249 units from April 2023 to February 2024. With the addition of 924 units in March, the cumulative exports of e-two wheelers by TVS reached 1,173 units by the end of the fiscal year 2024.

Previously, TVS management had revealed plans to develop an electric two-wheeler platform in collaboration with BMW Motorrad, focusing on the sub-15 kilowatt-hour range.

In October last year, TVS and BMW Motorrad jointly unveiled the CE-02, marking the debut of the first EV two-wheeler co-developed by the two companies. Production of this product commenced in Hosur late last year.
