Switch Mobility, the electric vehicle division of Ashok Leyland, reached a significant milestone by introducing the inaugural IeV 4 electric light commercial vehicle from its Hosur facility.
Mahesh Babu, CEO of Switch Mobility, expressed enthusiasm for the achievement, stating in a social media update, “This accomplishment signifies a notable advancement in our quest for sustainable transportation and technological innovation. Through cutting-edge advancements and steadfast dedication, we are shaping the future of electric vehicles.”
The launch of the IeV 4 signifies the beginning of manufacturing for Switch Mobility’s lineup of electric light commercial vehicles (e-LCVs), known as the IeV series. The company aims to produce approximately 3,000 units annually, serving a wide range of purposes such as cargo transportation, container handling, waste collection, and refrigerated vans.
