This expansion marks a significant milestone, with Kia aiming to strengthen its presence in Tier 1 and 2 markets, which contribute 40% to its total network strength. Furthermore, Kia is set to focus on enhancing its reach in Tier 4 and upcountry markets, constituting 46% of its network capacity in India. By the end of 2024, the company aims to elevate its network strength to nearly 700 touchpoints across 300 cities.

As part of its network strategy, Kia intends to bolster both its sales and service touchpoints. Presently, Kia India boasts 337 Sales points, 350 Workshops, and 59 Certified Pre-owned outlets. The company plans to augment its Certified Pre-owned network to 100 outlets by the end of 2024. Notably, the pick & drop facility has witnessed a surge and now accounts for 33% of total service requests.

In a move towards sustainability, Kia India has established 20 Green Workshops nationwide. These workshops harness solar power to fulfill 80% of their energy requirements, support an EV AC charging unit, and champion 100% water recycling and rainwater harvesting. Looking ahead, Kia plans to set up an additional 40 Green workshops by the end of the year and scale up to 150 by 2026.

Mr. Hardeep Singh Brar, National Head Sales & Marketing, Kia India, emphasized the importance of accessibility and convenience in the car buying experience. He highlighted Kia’s commitment to expanding its touchpoints network to over 700 by the end of the year to enhance accessibility for customers.

Furthermore, Kia has introduced EV special dealerships to cater to the growing electric vehicle market. With more than 150 sales points dedicated to selling EVs in India, Kia aims to drive adoption of electric vehicles in the country. Recently, Kia’s EV9 was honored as the ‘World Car of the Year’ and ‘World Electric Vehicle’ at the 2024 World Car Awards, held in the New York Auto Show.
