Postilion Mobility Technologies has launched “OK Chalo,” a mobility-on-demand platform heralding a new era in urban mobility. By assuming the role of a matchmaker rather than a mere aggregator, “OK Chalo” prioritizes user-friendliness, convenience, affordability, and satisfaction, while simplifying the entire driver-rider engagement process. Unlike traditional ride-hailing platforms, it charges only a nominal Rs. 5/- as the matchmaking fee.
The app is available for download on both Google Play Store and the iOS App Store. Currently, over 3500 auto and cab drivers have signed up to drive on the OK Chalo platform in Hyderabad, Secunderabad, and Cyberabad, with driver registrations ongoing to address the shared mobility challenges of these cities.
Udaya Bhaskar Voruganti, Founder and Director of Postilion Mobility Technologies, expressed, “OK Chalo” is the culmination of over two years of dedicated effort. We meticulously studied urban mobility platforms worldwide and engaged in extensive discussions with various Driver Union Representatives to comprehend their challenges and issues. In “OK Chalo,” we’ve ensured that both drivers and riders are at the forefront of our proposition. The app facilitates direct communication between them, even on fare negotiations, with OK Chalo acting solely as a facilitator prior to the ride, ensuring transparency and eliminating surprises.”
“OK Chalo” focuses on key features essential for a seamless ride experience, such as privacy protection. Personal information of both riders and drivers remains confidential, with “OK Chalo’s” Click to Call service enabling interaction without disclosing personal details. Additionally, the fare algorithm is transparent, ensuring no surges or inflated fares during peak demand hours, and there are no hidden charges or fees commonly found on other ride-hailing apps. Riders pay only the agreed fare directly to the driver via cash or UPI.
Naveen Patibandla, Director of Postilion Mobility Technologies, added, “We have aligned our tech stack to provide the best value proposition to our driver partners and consumers. The platform is built after extensive user research and will continue to evolve to meet the interests of both drivers and consumers.”
Once the fare is accepted by the rider, it is paid directly to the driver without any intermediaries, commissions, or hidden fees. “OK Chalo” charges a flat matchmaking fee of Rs. 5/- from both the driver and the rider upon ride confirmation, ensuring transparency and fairness for all parties involved.
For drivers, “OK Chalo” provides features to make informed decisions, showing them the destination and fare before accepting the ride. This transparency promotes reliability and efficiency, resulting in fewer cancellations and immediate payment for services rendered at the end of each trip.
“OK Chalo” is also seeking franchise partners across India who share their vision for transforming the ride-booking industry. Postilion Mobility Technologies, headquartered in Hyderabad, began operations in 2022 and is recognized as a DPIIT (Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade) startup aiming to revolutionize urban mobility and the ride-hailing sector.
