RIL Unveils India’s First Hydrogen Combustion Engine Technology For Heavy-Duty Truck

Reliance Industries Limited (RIL) unveiled India’s first Hydrogen Internal Combustion Engine technology solution for heavy-duty trucks flagged off by Honourable Prime Minister Narendra Modi at the India Energy Week in Bangalore. The Hydrogen Internal Combustion Engine (H2ICE) powered trucks will emit near zero emissions, deliver performance on par with conventional diesel trucks and reduce noise with projected reductions in operating costs thus redefining the future of Green Mobility. As part of its Net carbon Zero vision, Reliance with its vehicle partner Ashok Leyland and other technical partners are engaged in developing this unique technology since the last year with the first engines running in early 2022.

Himachal Pradesh Transport Department Converts Its Vehicle Fleet To Electric

Himachal Pradesh’s transport department announced that it is the first to convert all of its petrol- and diesel-powered official vehicles to electric. After flagging down electric vehicles in Shimla, Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu congratulated the department and said that the state had taken the initiative to switch over to electric vehicles and notified its policy. He said that 300 more electric buses would be added to the HRTC, Himachal Road Transport Corporation’s fleet, for which an outlay in excess of Rs 400 crore was approved. Sukhu said that a target was set to increase the number of electric buses in HRTC’s fleet by 60% over the next two years.

Punjab Cabinet Approves Electric Vehicle Policy 2022

Finance Minister Harpal Singh Cheema stated that the Punjab Cabinet, under the Chairmanship of Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann approved new policies for electric vehicles and industrial. Cheema spoke to the media and stated that both the Punjab Electric Vehicle Policy and Industrial Policy were approved by the cabinet. Both policies were approved days before an investor summit, which will be held by the state government in Mohali on February 23-24. Arora stated that Electric Vehicles are the future and that incentives have been announced by the government for people who switch to electric vehicles as part of the vehicle scrapping program.

Odysse Electric Vehicles Launches Electric Scooter ‘Trot’ In India

Odysse Electric Vehicles, an EV startup has launched the Odysse Trot, a B2B electric two-wheeler. The price ex-showroom is Rs 99,999. This bike is built for heavy duty and can carry up to 250kg. Trot claims it can travel 75 km on a single charge and has IOT connectivity, such as tracking, immobilization, and geo-fencing among others. The 250W electric motor can propel the scooter to 25kmph and the 32Ah waterproof battery can be fully charged in just 4 hours. Additional features include a drum brake on the front and a disc brake at its rear. There is also an LED display. You can choose from four colors: Yellow, Black, Maroon, and Red.

Omega Seiki Mobility Partners With Mufin Green Finance; To Finance 7500 Electric Three Wheelers By 2024

As an effort towards encouraging Electric Vehicle (EV) adoption in the country, Omega Seiki Mobility, an Anglian Omega Group Company, and Mufin Green Finance, a listed non-banking financial company (NBFC), today announced a strategic partnership for providing lease financing solutions to B2B customers and retail financing to B2C customers of Omega Seiki Mobility. Under the partnership, Mufin Green Finance will finance 3500 units of cargo electric three-wheelers for OSM B2B customers by 2023 and 4000 Cargo and Passenger electric vehicles for B2C Retail customers by 2024. Mufin Green Finance will finance over 300 Crore worth of Omega Seiki Mobility electric vehicles. Financing will be available across Omega Seiki Mobility’s existing 140+ dealer touch points and all new dealerships to be opened in 2023.
