EKA Unveils Its New Electric Bus

The Minister of Tourism and Environment of the Maharashtra Government, Aaditya Thackeray, with Chairman of the EKA and Pinnacle Industries Limited at the Pune Alternate Fuel, Sudhir Mehta unveils EKA’s first electric bus, E9.

E9 offers fast acceleration, greater traction power, more horsepower, 17% grade ability, a regenerative braking system, and a 200 KW electric motor.

“Electrification of commercial vehicles, public transport, especially the bus sector, is key to India’s decarbonization strategy. Today, we are excited to launch our first electric bus EKA E9, to empower cities to achieve their zero-emissions targets,” said Mehta.

He added, “With the new EKA E9, we offer a global platform for clean, efficient, and profitable public transport to meet the rising demand on important markets that are ready for the shift to electromobility.”

EKA is an electric vehicle manufacturing & technology company and also a subsidiary of Pinnacle Industries. EKA’s battery-electric bus has upgraded its vehicle design and has maximized range and power.
