EV charging infrastructure company EVRE said on Thursday that it has partnered with Mad About Wheels (MAW) to establish charging infrastructure and provide dealerships in over 100 locations with more than 500 chargers, to begin with.
The deployment will begin with the installation of 100 charging stations in the first 30 cities by March 2022, providing simple access to excellent EV chargers to respective dealer network operators and EV owners at no cost to them in terms of asset ownership, mostly in tier-II and III cities.
EVRE aims at expanding their EV charging infrastructure across the country and MAW offers one such platform, allowing the company to reach out across the nation, hitting the majority of districts within a year, said Krishna K Jasti, CEO & Co-founder, EVRE.
The charges for charging EVs will be in accordance with the energy pricing in individual places and will be activated via the EVRE App, which will be accessible on all app stores, according to the firm.
This addition to their current infrastructure will provide the dealers with additional revenue from using the chargers as public infrastructure for walk-ins by EV consumers and EV fleet owners.
MAW and EVRE want to start establishing the nation’s EV ecosystem first with more than 100 EV-ready strong dealer networks.
The company added that public charging infrastructure in rural areas will play a critical part in the country’s efficient take-off of the EV revolution.
Jasti stated “We believe that tier-II/III cities in India will play an important role in pushing the clean mobility drive, and we are fully geared-up to satiate that demand across the country with our hub model,”
Co-founder & CEO of MAW, Amresh Khar, commented that in association with the new partner, MAW’s objective is to create consumer-centric infrastructure to support dealer-partners by offering an enhanced experience for our existing and future EV customers.
Khar said that the collaboration with EVRE assists MAW in closing the loop of offering all-rounder services to its clients by providing charging touch-points at convenient last-mile locations, while also driving revenue for the dealer-partners.
