This cutting-edge plant is set to transform urban transportation by increasing production capacity to meet the growing demand for sustainable micro-mobility solutions.
Spanning across a spacious 2.5-acre campus, the new manufacturing hub reflects Zen Mobility’s commitment to leveraging state-of-the-art technology and infrastructure while creating employment opportunities for over 500 individuals. With an impressive annual capacity of 50,000 units, the facility focuses on manufacturing and assembling the Zen Micro Pods, the company’s flagship electric vehicles designed for urban commuters.
In addition to manufacturing, the plant houses advanced research and development facilities for design engineering and product planning. It also boasts comprehensive testing capabilities, including roller testing and dyno testing, ensuring the highest quality and safety standards for all Zen Mobility products.
Namit Jain, Founder and CEO of Zen Mobility, expressed his excitement about the plant’s inauguration, stating, “The launch of our advanced facility underscores our commitment to providing eco-friendly mobility solutions for last-mile delivery. With our order book now expanded to 10,000 units, the plant will operate in two shifts to fulfill existing orders. Our increased production capacity and advanced testing facilities enable us to offer efficient fleet management solutions to e-commerce and fleet companies.”
Jain added, “The plant is strategically designed to accommodate future production of Zen Maxi Pods, our upcoming multi-purpose 4-wheeler Light Electric Vehicles, intended for cargo delivery. This reaffirms Zen Mobility’s dedication to pioneering sustainable urban mobility solutions.”
A notable feature of the new facility is its ability to provide comprehensive in-house customization for innovative cargo box solutions, catering to various applications such as e-commerce, grocery delivery, and FMCG logistics. By integrating customization capabilities into its manufacturing process, Zen Mobility aims to address the unique requirements of urban logistics and deliver tailored solutions to its customers.
Zen Mobility has formed partnerships with leading food, grocery delivery, and e-commerce firms to deploy vehicles across more than 10 cities in India, enhancing income opportunities for delivery riders and facilitating efficient fleet management for e-commerce as well as fleet operators.
