Renault Group has unveiled its ‘futuREady India’ strategy, marking a major push to position India as a key growth driver, technology hub, and export base in its global operations.

The announcement was made by CEO François Provost during his recent visit to the country, highlighting India’s strategic importance in the company’s next phase of international expansion. Renault aims to make India one of its top three global markets by 2030, leveraging strong local demand and manufacturing capabilities.

As part of its largest product expansion in India, the company will introduce a seven-model portfolio by 2030. This lineup will span key segments, including compact cars and SUVs, and feature a mix of internal combustion, hybrid, and fully electric powertrains tailored to Indian consumers.

The upcoming models will be built on advanced RGEP and RGMP platforms, designed for multi-energy flexibility. Among the key highlights is the return of the Renault Duster, alongside new offerings such as the Bridger Concept, a compact SUV previewing future-ready designs with electric variants.

Stéphane Deblaise stated that India will play a critical role in delivering long-term value through a strong product roadmap backed by world-class engineering and competitive manufacturing.

In addition to product expansion, Renault is focusing on strengthening customer experience through its “Renault Forever” initiative, offering a 7-year warranty and enhanced service quality to build long-term trust and loyalty.

India is also being positioned as a global technology and export hub for the Group. Renault’s Chennai engineering centre, one of its largest globally, employs around 6,000 engineers working on vehicle architecture, software development, and innovation for both domestic and international markets.

The company has also taken full ownership of its Chennai manufacturing facility, enabling greater localisation, improved supply chain efficiency, and enhanced production capabilities. This facility will serve as a key export base, particularly for markets such as South America.

Renault Group has set an ambitious target to generate €2 billion annually from exports of vehicles, components, and research and development services from India by 2030.

With a strong focus on electrification, localisation, and global integration, the futuREady India strategy underscores Renault’s commitment to making India a cornerstone of its future growth and competitiveness in the global automotive landscape.
