VE Commercial Vehicles Ltd. (VECV), a joint venture between Volvo Group and Eicher Motors, has achieved a major milestone by surpassing 100,000 vehicle sales in the financial year 2025–26, marking its highest-ever annual performance.
Announced on April 1 from New Delhi, the company reported strong growth across segments, driven by demand for its application-specific portfolio, improved uptime, and a robust manufacturing and distribution network. Light and Medium Duty (LMD) trucks led the sales with 47,789 units, contributing 46.1% of total volumes. Heavy Duty (HD) trucks followed with 26,867 units (25.9%), while the bus segment accounted for 19,363 units (18.7%).
The milestone reflects the long-term vision set at the inception of the Volvo–Eicher joint venture in 2008 and highlights the strength of the partnership in combining global technology with deep local market expertise. VECV has played a key role in modernizing India’s commercial vehicle industry by introducing advanced technologies, improving fuel efficiency, and enhancing customer-centric solutions.
Commenting on the achievement, B. Srinivas, Managing Director and CEO of VECV, stated that crossing the 100,000-unit mark underscores customer trust and aligns with the company’s long-term strategic direction. He added that VECV will continue to focus on innovation, sustainability, and stronger customer engagement to drive future growth.
Aligned with Atmanirbhar Bharat, the company continues to strengthen domestic manufacturing while expanding its global footprint. Government initiatives such as infrastructure development under Bharatmala and the push for clean mobility through PM e-Drive have further supported industry growth.
VECV has been at the forefront of innovation, being among the early adopters of BSVI emission standards and launching a fully connected vehicle portfolio through its Eicher Live telematics platform. The company operates eight manufacturing facilities across India, including an Industry 4.0-enabled plant in Bhopal and an integrated hub in Pithampur. It is also expanding capabilities with a new Automated Manual Transmission (AMT) plant in Ujjain.
With over 1,250 touchpoints across the country and a growing digital ecosystem, VECV continues to enhance customer experience while contributing to the modernization of India’s logistics and transportation sector.
