German automotive supplier Continental AG has expanded its ContiScoot scooter tire portfolio, offering more than 30 different tire sizes designed to support the growing demand for urban two-wheel mobility and daily commuting.

The ContiScoot range now covers tire sizes from 10 to 16 inches, making it suitable for a wide variety of scooters ranging from compact 50cc city models to powerful 350cc scooters. The expansion aims to provide enhanced safety, comfort and handling for riders navigating busy city environments.

According to the company, the expanded portfolio is designed to meet the needs of everyday scooter riders who rely on their vehicles for commuting, errands and short-distance travel in metropolitan areas.

“With over 30 sizes available, the ContiScoot is a suitable option for almost every scooter model,” said Sagren Nair, Product Manager for Motorcycle Tires at Continental. He added that the company’s goal is to make urban mobility safer, more comfortable and more versatile for riders.

The ContiScoot range is compatible with several popular scooter models. For larger scooters, tire combinations such as 120/70-15 (front) and 140/70-14 (rear) fit models like the Honda Forza 125, Honda ADV350, Yamaha XMAX 300 and BMW C 400 X.

Meanwhile, smaller scooters using 120/70-12 front and 130/70-12 rear tire sizes include models such as the Vespa GTS 300 and Kymco Like II 125i.

The tires are also designed to support electric mobility. For instance, the ContiScoot is available for electric scooters like the Niu MQi GT 100, demonstrating the brand’s focus on emerging EV two-wheeler markets.

Continental highlighted several key performance features of the ContiScoot tires, including strong wet grip, excellent cold-weather traction, agile handling, and high ride comfort. The tire compound and tread design are optimized to deliver shorter braking distances and improved stability on wet roads, while also ensuring reliable grip during colder temperatures—an important factor for daily commuters.

The tire structure has also been engineered to support quick directional changes and stable handling, making it well suited for stop-and-go traffic and tight urban corners. Additionally, the durable rubber compound helps reduce wear, offering higher mileage for riders who depend on their scooters for frequent travel.

To strengthen consumer confidence, Continental will continue offering its ContiScoot satisfaction guarantee in selected markets in 2026, allowing riders to receive a refund if they are not satisfied with the tire’s performance.

As scooters continue to gain popularity in congested urban environments worldwide, Continental believes reliable and high-performance tires will play a critical role in ensuring safety and efficiency for everyday mobility.
