Vietnam-based electric vehicle manufacturer VinFast Auto Ltd. has reported record preliminary electric vehicle (EV) deliveries of 196,919 units in 2025, marking a 102 percent year-on-year growth and its highest annual EV performance since inception.

According to the company’s latest filing, VinFast delivered 86,557 electric vehicles globally in the fourth quarter of 2025, registering a sharp 127 percent growth over the previous quarter and a 63 percent increase compared to the same period last year. The strong Q4 performance played a crucial role in helping the company exceed its management guidance of at least doubling its 2024 EV deliveries of 97,399 units.

The surge in EV sales was driven by VinFast’s expanded electric product portfolio, which now caters to a wider customer base through its VinFast, Green Series and Lac Hong brands, along with the company’s continued push to accelerate green mobility adoption across global markets.

In addition to electric cars, VinFast also recorded robust growth in its electric two-wheeler segment. The company delivered 171,962 e-scooters and e-bikes in the fourth quarter of 2025, reflecting a 43 percent quarter-on-quarter rise and a massive 452 percent year-on-year jump. For the full year, total deliveries of e-scooters and e-bikes stood at 406,498 units, up 473 percent compared to 2024.

VinFast noted that the delivery figures are preliminary and subject to change following year-end audits. The company also clarified that vehicle deliveries represent only one aspect of its financial performance and should not be viewed as a direct indicator of quarterly revenue, which depends on pricing strategies and cost structures.

A subsidiary of Vingroup JSC, VinFast is Vietnam’s leading electric mobility company, manufacturing a wide range of electric SUVs, e-scooters, e-bikes and e-buses. The company currently exports its EVs to key markets across Asia, North America and Europe, reinforcing its mission of building a sustainable and greener future through electric mobility.
