Toyota Kirloskar Motor (TKM) reported a 15 per cent year-on-year growth in total sales for January 2026, with volumes reaching 33,880 units, compared to 29,371 units in the same month last year.
The company’s performance was driven by strong domestic demand, with 30,630 units sold in the Indian market, marking a 17 per cent growth, while exports stood at 3,250 units, up 2 per cent year-on-year.
Commenting on the sales performance, Sabari Manohar, Executive Vice President – Sales, Service and Used Car Business, Toyota Kirloskar Motor, said the year began on a positive note for the company, supported by sustained customer confidence in Toyota’s focus on quality, safety and sustainability.
A key highlight during the month was the launch of the all-electric Urban Cruiser EBELLA, marking Toyota’s significant step towards future-ready and sustainable mobility solutions. Manohar said the new electric model strengthens Toyota’s value proposition and aligns with India’s transition towards carbon neutrality and greener mobility.
Toyota Kirloskar Motor operates two manufacturing plants at Bidadi, Karnataka, with a combined installed production capacity of up to 3,42,000 units annually. The first plant manufactures models such as Innova HyCross, Innova Crysta, Fortuner and Legender, while the second plant produces Camry Hybrid, Urban Cruiser Hyryder and Hilux. Other models sold in India include Glanza, Rumion and Urban Cruiser Taisor, while premium models like Vellfire and Land Cruiser 300 are imported as completely built units (CBUs).
