MINI has unveiled a major technical update to its all-electric Countryman lineup, setting a new benchmark for efficiency and versatility in the compact SUV segment. From March 2026, the MINI Countryman E will offer a purely electric driving range of up to 501 kilometers (WLTP), delivering greater freedom and reduced charging needs for everyday driving and long-distance travel.
The extended range marks a significant milestone for the largest model in the MINI family and is the result of multiple technological innovations. Central to the upgrade is a new silicon carbide (SiC) inverter, which enables highly efficient energy conversion while minimizing power losses. This is complemented by an increased net battery capacity of 65.2 kWh, providing more usable energy, and friction-reduced wheel bearings on the front axle that lower rolling resistance and improve overall efficiency.
Alongside the Countryman E, the MINI Countryman SE ALL4 also benefits from the updates, offering an electric range of up to 467 kilometers (WLTP). Both models combine MINI’s signature driving fun with enhanced practicality, positioning them as versatile electric SUVs for modern lifestyles.
The all-electric MINI Countryman offers generous interior space and a flexible luggage compartment with a maximum capacity of up to 1,450 liters, making it suitable for families, leisure activities, and longer journeys. Fast DC charging further supports usability, enabling the battery to recharge from 10 to 80 percent in less than 30 minutes.
Design updates reinforce the vehicle’s modern and expressive identity. Aerodynamic optimizations contribute to a low drag coefficient of 0.26, supporting efficiency and range. The exclusive Favoured Trim highlights the Countryman’s character with details such as Blazing Blue paint, a silver roof and mirror caps, and 20-inch Windmill Spoke alloy wheels.
Inside, a 24-centimeter OLED central display provides intuitive access to infotainment and driver assistance systems. Advanced technologies support autonomous driving functions up to Level 2, enhancing safety and comfort while maintaining MINI’s engaging driving experience.
