Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd announced the launch of the Thar ROXX STAR Edition, a new premium variant of its popular lifestyle SUV, aimed at customers seeking exclusivity combined with rugged performance. The special edition has been introduced at an introductory price starting from ₹16.85 lakh (ex-showroom).

Positioned as a design-forward upgrade to the existing Thar ROXX range, the STAR Edition features bespoke styling elements across both the exterior and interior. Key highlights include all-black leatherette seats with suede accents, a piano black front grille, and piano black alloy wheels, giving the SUV a bold yet sophisticated road presence.

Mahindra has also introduced a new hero colour, Citrine Yellow, alongside Tango Red, Everest White and Stealth Black.

Under the hood, the Thar ROXX STAR Edition retains the proven powertrain options — the 2.0-litre turbo-petrol mStallion engine producing 130 kW and 380 Nm of torque, and the 2.2-litre diesel mHawk engine delivering 128.6 kW and 400 Nm. All variants come with a rear-wheel-drive configuration and manual or automatic transmission choices.

Variant-wise pricing for the STAR Edition ranges between ₹16.85 lakh and ₹18.35 lakh, depending on engine and transmission options.

Since its introduction in 2024, the Thar ROXX has emerged as a strong lifestyle SUV contender, winning 36 awards, including 15 Car of the Year titles and the Indian Car of the Year (ICOTY) 2025.

The STAR Edition is equipped with a host of premium features including front ventilated seats, panoramic sunroof, dual 26.03 cm HD digital displays, Adrenox connected car technology with Alexa integration, 360-degree camera, and a 9-speaker Harman Kardon audio system.

On the safety front, the SUV offers six airbags, tyre pressure monitoring system, front and rear parking sensors, rear camera, auto-dimming IRVM, and emergency call (E-call & SOS) functionality, and has been engineered for a 5-star Bharat NCAP rating.

With this launch, Mahindra aims to strengthen the Thar ROXX’s appeal among urban buyers looking for a combination of luxury, technology and off-road capability.
