Ashok Leyland, India’s leading commercial vehicle manufacturer and a flagship company of the Hinduja Group, has partnered with Switch Mobility and Tamil NRIs in the United States to gift a double-decker bus to the Tamil Nadu Tourism Department.
The inauguration of Chennai’s new double-decker tourism bus service was presided over by Hon’ble Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, Thiru M.K. Stalin. The service aims to connect the city’s iconic landmarks and heritage sites, offering both residents and tourists an immersive experience of Chennai’s rich cultural and architectural history.
The initiative also underscores Ashok Leyland’s commitment to sustainable urban mobility, blending modern transportation solutions with eco-friendly practices. This project reflects the company’s ongoing collaboration with the Tamil Nadu government to drive innovation-led growth in public and tourist transportation.
