Electric motorcycle manufacturer Oben Electric has strengthened its national retail presence with the inauguration of its 85th showroom and a dedicated Oben Care service centre in Damoh, marking another step in the company’s aggressive expansion across Tier II and Tier III markets.
The new outlet was inaugurated in the presence of former Cabinet Minister Jayant Malaiya, Minister of State (Independent Charge) Dharmendra Singh Lodhi and Lakhan Patel, and BJP District President Shyam Shivhare, reflecting growing political and administrative support for electric mobility adoption in regional India.
With the Damoh launch, Oben Electric now operates nine showrooms across Madhya Pradesh, including Indore, Dhar, Guna, Betul, Harda, Sujalpur, Dhamnod and Jabalpur. The company plans to expand this network to 25 outlets in the state by 2026. Nationally, Oben Electric has established 85 showrooms and service centres across key cities such as Bengaluru, Delhi, Kochi, Jaipur, Amritsar, Hyderabad and Lucknow, and is targeting more than 150 outlets by March 2026.
Commenting on the expansion, Madhumita Agrawal, Founder and CEO of Oben Electric, said Tier II and Tier III cities are emerging as major growth drivers for India’s electric mobility ecosystem. She noted that rising interest in the company’s Rorr EZ Sigma electric motorcycle highlights growing consumer preference for performance-oriented and reliable EV two-wheelers, supported by strong regional sales and service infrastructure.
At the Damoh showroom, customers can experience Oben’s flagship Rorr EZ Sigma, offered in 3.4 kWh and 4.4 kWh battery variants with a claimed range of up to 175 km (IDC) and a top speed of 95 kmph. The model features three riding modes—Eco, City and Havoc—and is powered by the company’s patented LFP battery technology, designed to deliver higher heat resistance and longer lifecycle durability. Priced from ₹1,29,999, the motorcycle is equipped with reverse mode, a 5-inch TFT display with navigation and smartphone connectivity, and is also available through e-commerce platforms such as Flipkart and Amazon.
Oben Electric follows a vertically integrated manufacturing approach, designing and producing key EV components including batteries, motors and vehicle control units in-house. Each retail outlet houses a dedicated Oben Care service centre staffed by platinum-certified technicians trained to support these proprietary systems. The company claims a 90 percent issue-resolution rate within 72 hours, supported by round-the-clock customer assistance.
Founded in 2020, Oben Electric operates a 3.5-acre manufacturing facility in Bengaluru with an annual capacity of one lakh units and holds over 25 patents related to EV technology and components. The company has positioned itself as an early mover in India’s electric motorcycle segment, focusing on advanced battery chemistry, localised R&D and scalable manufacturing to support the country’s transition to sustainable two-wheeler mobility.
