Suzuki Motorcycle India Pvt. Ltd. (SMIPL) has announced the commencement of bookings for its first electric scooter, the Suzuki e-ACCESS, marking Suzuki Motor Corporation’s global entry into electric mobility in the two-wheeler segment, beginning with India.

The company said the e-ACCESS brings together Suzuki’s core strengths of reliability, durability and everyday practicality. Alongside the booking announcement, SMIPL has expanded the scooter’s colour range with a new dual-tone shade — Metallic Mat Stellar Blue / Metallic Mat Fibroin Gray. The model is now available in four colour options, including Metallic Mat Black No.2 / Metallic Mat Bordeaux Red, Pearl Grace White / Metallic Mat Fibroin Gray, and Pearl Jade Green / Metallic Mat Fibroin Gray.

Commenting on the launch, Kenichi Umeda, Managing Director, SMIPL, said the Suzuki e-ACCESS represents the company’s first global strategic battery electric vehicle and has been designed to offer long battery life, agile handling, seamless acceleration and high-quality fit and finish, while ensuring a worry-free ownership experience.

Powered by Suzuki e-Technology, the e-ACCESS is equipped with a Lithium Iron Phosphate (LFP) battery, which the company claims offers up to four times longer battery life compared to conventional Nickel Manganese Cobalt (NMC) batteries. The scooter features a lightweight chassis with an aluminium battery case integrated into the frame, aimed at improving stability and handling.

The electric scooter is driven by a 4.1 kW motor producing 15 Nm of torque and offers three ride modes — Eco, Ride A and Ride B — along with a reverse mode and regenerative braking. It also comes with LED lighting, two-tone alloy wheels and a maintenance-free drive belt with a lifespan of up to seven years or 70,000 km.

SMIPL said customers will be able to experience and service the e-ACCESS across its network of over 1,200 outlets in India. DC fast-charging facilities are currently available at more than 240 outlets and will be expanded in phases, while AC portable chargers are available across the entire network.

To support early adoption, Suzuki is offering benefits such as an extended warranty of up to seven years or 80,000 km, buy-back assurance of up to 60% after three years, loyalty and welcome bonuses, attractive finance options starting at 5.99% interest, and flexible rental plans.

The Suzuki e-ACCESS is priced at ₹1,88,490 (ex-showroom, Delhi). Bookings are open across authorised Suzuki dealerships in India, and the scooter will also be available for purchase through Flipkart once sales commence.
