Toyota Kirloskar Motor (TKM) marked a strong presence at the Advantage Maharashtra Expo 2026, reiterating its commitment to sustainable mobility, responsible manufacturing, and youth empowerment through structured skilling initiatives in Maharashtra.
Held once every three years, the Advantage Maharashtra Expo is one of the largest industry exhibitions in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar and the Marathwada region. The event is organized by the Marathwada Association of Small-Scale Industries and Agriculture (MASSIA) in collaboration with the Government of Maharashtra, bringing together key stakeholders from industry, government, and academia.
At the Technology Pavilion, TKM showcased its advanced vehicle technologies, with a special focus on the HyCross Flexi-Fuel Strong Hybrid Electric Vehicle (FFV SHEV). The display highlighted Toyota’s multi-pathway approach towards achieving carbon neutrality, balancing diverse powertrain solutions to support India’s energy transition and cleaner mobility goals.
The pavilion also reflected TKM’s emphasis on industry collaboration and technology awareness. As part of its engagement at the Expo, the company conducted a dedicated session on Toyota Culture for representatives from industry and educational institutions. The session underlined Toyota’s core values of quality-led manufacturing, continuous improvement, skill development, and customer-centric leadership, aimed at fostering long-term partnerships across Maharashtra.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Sudeep Dalvi, Chief Communication Officer, Senior Vice President and Director, Toyota Kirloskar Motor, expressed gratitude to the Government of Maharashtra for its continued support towards Toyota’s upcoming greenfield manufacturing project in the state. He said the new facility would strengthen TKM’s operational footprint with a strong focus on localization, while creating wider opportunities for local development. He added that participation in the Expo reflects Toyota’s collaborative approach towards sustainable growth, innovation, and community empowerment in Maharashtra.
Mr. Dalvi further noted that TKM has consistently focused on building core capabilities and strengthening the educational ecosystem in the state through structured skilling and CSR initiatives. Complementing these efforts, the company continues to advance technologies that enable cleaner mobility and more efficient powertrain systems.
Recently, Toyota Kirloskar Motor signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Government of Maharashtra to support the development of a structured and scalable skilling ecosystem across the state, with a particular focus on strengthening Industrial Training Institutes (ITIs). In addition, under its CSR initiatives in education, TKM has upgraded infrastructure and learning facilities in 11 government schools in Chhatrapati Sambhaji Nagar, contributing to improved educational outcomes for local communities.
