Renault India reported a strong turnaround in sales performance in the second half of calendar year 2025, driven by refreshed products, strategic initiatives, and improving market traction. The automaker recorded an 18.2 per cent year-on-year growth in H2 CY2025, with momentum building steadily from the third quarter and culminating in a robust fourth quarter.

The company’s recovery gained further strength in Q4 CY2025, where sales rose 27.3 per cent year-on-year, marking a clear acceleration in demand. December 2025 emerged as one of Renault India’s strongest months of the year, with sales of 3,845 units, reflecting a 33.4 per cent increase compared to December 2024.

According to Renault India, the sales revival began in Q3 with a return to positive year-on-year growth and intensified in Q4 as refreshed models reached customers nationwide. The launch of the new Triber in July and the new Kiger in August played a key role in improving customer response and strengthening the brand’s position in the competitive compact car segment.

Commenting on the performance, Stéphane Deblaise, CEO, Renault Group India, said the strong H2 results validated the company’s strategic course correction. He noted that after a period of portfolio transition, consistent improvement from Q3 onwards and the company’s best monthly performance in December signaled tangible results from the renewed approach. Deblaise added that the return of the iconic Duster, scheduled to be unveiled on January 26, 2026, would mark a significant milestone in Renault’s next phase of growth in India.

Renault India’s recovery also coincided with a series of strategic initiatives undertaken in 2025, reinforcing the brand’s long-term commitment to the Indian market. These included the rollout of new ‘R’ stores to enhance the retail experience, the establishment of the Renault Design Centre in India to improve local product relevance, the introduction of a three-year standard warranty to boost customer confidence, and the consolidation of 100 per cent ownership of its manufacturing facility.

The company manufactures its vehicles at its Oragadam facility near Chennai, which has an annual capacity of 480,000 units, and supports customers through an extensive network of 350+ sales and 450+ service touchpoints across the country.
