Honda Cars India Ltd. (HCIL), one of India’s leading premium car manufacturers, reported domestic sales of 5,807 units in December 2025, registering a 3.6 per cent growth compared to the same month last year. Including exports of 2,352 units, the company’s total sales for the month stood at 8,159 units.
The company’s performance was supported by steady demand across its key models, including the Honda Amaze, City and Elevate, which continued to contribute strongly to overall volumes during the month.
Commenting on the sales performance, Mr. Kunal Behl, Vice President – Marketing & Sales, Honda Cars India Ltd., said the company ended December on a positive note, driven by sustained market momentum following the GST 2.0 implementation. He added that demand remained healthy across the product portfolio, reflecting strong customer confidence in the Honda brand.
Looking ahead, HCIL expects 2026 to present fresh growth opportunities, with the company planning multiple product launches during the year to strengthen its presence in the Indian market.
In comparison, Honda Cars India had recorded 5,603 units in domestic sales and 3,857 units in exports in December 2024, indicating a shift in the sales mix during the current year.
