Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. (M&M), one of India’s leading automotive manufacturers, reported strong sales performance in December 2025, with overall auto sales reaching 86,090 vehicles, including exports, registering a year-on-year growth of 25 per cent.
The company recorded robust demand in its utility vehicle (UV) portfolio, with domestic SUV sales standing at 50,946 units, up 23 per cent compared to December 2024. Mahindra said the strong performance in December helped it close calendar year 2025 on a high note, marking its highest-ever annual volumes in both the SUV and light commercial vehicle (LCV) segments.
Domestic sales in the commercial vehicle segment also witnessed healthy growth. Sales of LCVs below 3.5 tonnes stood at 24,786 units during the month, registering a growth of 34 per cent year-on-year. Three-wheeler sales, including electric models, rose by 31 per cent to 7,538 units in December 2025.
Exports, however, declined marginally during the month, with total export volumes at 2,820 units, compared to 3,092 units in December 2024.
Commenting on the performance, Nalinikanth Gollagunta, Chief Executive Officer, Automotive Division, Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd., said the company ended 2025 on a positive note, achieving record volumes across key segments. He highlighted that December saw SUV sales of 50,946 units and LCV sales of 24,786 units, contributing to total vehicle sales of 86,090 units and a 25 per cent year-on-year growth.
On a year-to-date basis till December FY26, Mahindra’s domestic utility vehicle sales rose 18 per cent to 476,476 units. In the commercial vehicle segment, sales of LCVs in the 2–3.5 tonne category grew 16 per cent, while three-wheeler volumes increased 28 per cent year-on-year. Total exports during the period rose 25 per cent to 30,061 units.
Mahindra attributed its strong performance to sustained demand for SUVs, a growing product portfolio and improving traction in last-mile mobility and electric three-wheelers through its subsidiaries.
