Silence, the electric vehicle brand of ACCIONA, has officially launched the upgraded version of its S02 electric scooter, further strengthening its position as Europe’s best-selling electric scooter in the urban mobility segment. The revamped model brings notable improvements in stability, design, storage, and driving comfort, aimed at both private users and professional fleets.
A key highlight of the new S02 is the introduction of a larger-diameter front wheel, significantly enhancing stability and on-road safety. For the first time, the scooter also offers under-seat storage capable of accommodating a full-face helmet, improving everyday practicality for urban riders.
The updated model is lighter, with the overall weight reduced to 132 kilograms. This reduction improves maneuverability in congested city environments and makes the scooter particularly suitable for delivery riders and commercial fleet operations. Despite the lighter build, the S02 delivers a certified range of up to 138 kilometers, placing it at the top of its segment in terms of range efficiency.
The new Silence S02 is available in two variants. The L1e version, classified as a moped with a top speed limited to 45 km/h, is priced at €2,990 in Spain. The L3e version, designed for higher performance with a maximum speed of 85 km/h, is available at a retail price of €3,490.
Maintaining one of its strongest advantages, the S02 continues to feature a removable 5.6 kWh battery. The battery can be charged using a standard household power outlet or swapped in under 30 seconds at any of ACCIONA’s 180 battery swap stations across Spain and 20 stations in France. The battery is also compatible with other Silence vehicles, including the S01 scooter and the S04 nanocar, supporting a unified and scalable electric ecosystem.
In terms of technology, the scooter is equipped with advanced connectivity through the My Silence app, offering features such as real-time vehicle location, keyless access, battery status monitoring, and temporary user sharing. Riders can also choose between three driving modes—Eco, City, and Sport—depending on their performance and efficiency needs.
With its removable battery system, extended range, and enhanced connectivity, the upgraded Silence S02 is positioned as a versatile solution for individual commuters, delivery services, and shared urban mobility fleets. The launch aligns with ACCIONA’s broader commitment to sustainable transport solutions and the development of cleaner, smarter cities across Europe.
