Suzuki Motor Corporation reported strong performance in its global automobile operations in November 2025, with record-high overseas production and sales driven largely by robust growth in India. According to the company’s latest production, sales and export figures, global automobile production stood at 307,772 units in November, marking a 14.1% year-on-year increase and the third consecutive month of growth.

Global production for the January–November 2025 period reached 3.11 million units, up 2.3% year-on-year, while production during the April–November fiscal period rose 3.3% to 2.25 million units. The strong overall performance was primarily supported by overseas operations, which recorded a new November high.

Production in Japan declined 10.7% year-on-year in November to 77,224 units, marking the second consecutive monthly decline. The drop was attributed to reduced production for both domestic and export markets. In contrast, overseas production surged 25.9% to a record 230,548 units, supported by strong output in India.

India remained Suzuki’s largest production base, accounting for 211,487 units in November, up 25.7% year-on-year and the third consecutive month of growth. Cumulative production in India rose 7.2% year-on-year to over 2.04 million units for January–November 2025.

Global automobile sales also showed solid momentum, rising 9.7% year-on-year to 292,259 units in November, the second consecutive month of growth. Overseas sales reached a record high for the month at 233,824 units, up 13.7%, again led by India.

In the Indian market, domestic wholesales increased 21.0% year-on-year to 174,593 units in November. Cumulative Indian sales for January–November stood at 1.66 million units, reflecting stable year-on-year growth. Meanwhile, Japan sales declined 3.6% year-on-year to 58,435 units, as lower demand for mini vehicles offset record-high sales of standard and small vehicles.

Suzuki’s global exports, however, declined during the month. Total exports in November fell 18.4% year-on-year to 13,038 units, marking the first decline in two months. For the January–November period, exports dropped 18.7% year-on-year to 176,186 units, primarily due to lower shipments of complete built-up (CBU) vehicles.

Overall, Suzuki’s November 2025 performance highlights the growing importance of overseas markets—particularly India—in supporting global growth, even as domestic production and exports from Japan faced short-term pressures.
