Hyundai to Unveil Its Biggest Electric Vehicle Yet at Brussels Motor Show 2026

Hyundai Motor Company is set to take a major step forward in its electrification journey with the world premiere of its biggest electric vehicle yet at the Brussels Motor Show, scheduled from January 9 to 18, 2026. The new EV will mark the start of Hyundai’s fresh wave of electric launches planned for 2026, reinforcing the brand’s commitment to zero-emission mobility in Europe.

According to Hyundai, the upcoming EV will be equipped with state-of-the-art electric technology, including an advanced 800-volt charging system, promising faster charging and improved efficiency. The model will further strengthen Hyundai’s expanding EV portfolio, which currently ranges from the compact INSTER to the flagship IONIQ 9.

The Korean automaker will also showcase the updated IONIQ 6, making its first appearance at a European motor show. The refreshed model features refinements to its aerodynamic design along with upgrades to interior technology and digital features, underlining Hyundai’s focus on both efficiency and user-centric innovation in its electric vehicles.

A dedicated press conference will be held on January 9 at 10:00 AM at the Hyundai stand in Palais 6 (Booth 6.06). The briefing will be led by Raf Van Nuffel, Vice President of Product at Hyundai Motor Europe, who will share detailed insights into the new EV and outline Hyundai’s EV roadmap for 2026.

Speaking ahead of the event, Van Nuffel highlighted the importance of the Brussels Motor Show as a platform to present Hyundai’s evolving electric technologies to European customers. He noted that as Europe accelerates its transition towards zero-emission mobility, events like the Brussels Motor Show provide an opportunity to showcase innovations that will define the next generation of sustainable transportation.

Beyond the new model premieres, Hyundai’s exhibition will include a dedicated N Zone, featuring high-performance electric models such as the IONIQ 5 N and IONIQ 6 N. Visitors will also experience INSTEROID, a bold design concept based on the INSTER EV, combining video game-inspired aesthetics with sporty styling to explore Hyundai’s creative approach to future mobility.

The Brussels Motor Show, Belgium’s largest indoor automotive event, is expected to host 64 automotive brands and attract over 300,000 visitors, along with more than 1,100 media representatives from across the globe. Hyundai’s strong presence at the show underscores its ambition to remain a leading innovator in electric mobility as Europe moves steadily toward a sustainable, zero-emission future.
