Kinetic Watts & Volts Ltd. (KWV), the electric mobility arm of Kinetic Engineering Ltd., announced a strategic technology partnership with Jio Things Limited, a subsidiary of Jio Platforms, to integrate advanced voice-assisted controls and connected vehicle technologies across all its upcoming electric two-wheeler models.
The collaboration marks a major step in KWV’s push to offer intelligent, future-ready and affordable electric mobility solutions tailored for Indian riders. Through this partnership, Kinetic EVs will be equipped with IoT-powered smart digital clusters, voice-enabled vehicle interaction and a suite of connected mobility features.
As part of the integration, upcoming Kinetic electric two-wheelers will feature voice-assisted controls aimed at improving rider convenience and safety, smart digital instrument clusters offering real-time vehicle data, and connected systems for performance monitoring and diagnostics. The vehicles will also support enhanced infotainment applications, along with telematics and cloud-based analytics, particularly beneficial for fleet operators.
Jio Things brings to the partnership its full-stack IoT ecosystem, comprising edge devices, connectivity, cloud infrastructure, remote device management, installation support and aftermarket services. According to the company, this unified platform will enable seamless digital connectivity, improved reliability and a superior ownership experience for both individual riders and commercial users.
The connected mobility platform developed through this collaboration will be embedded across all forthcoming Kinetic Watts & Volts models, ensuring a uniform and scalable digital experience across customer segments.
Commenting on the development, Ajinkya Firodia, Vice Chairman and Managing Director of Kinetic Watts & Volts Ltd., said the partnership reinforces the company’s long-standing philosophy of making mobility and innovation accessible. “With this collaboration, we extend our commitment into digital mobility by bringing voice assistance and connected features to everyday riders, making technology intuitive and genuinely useful. This also strengthens our ‘Easy’ philosophy, already reflected in features like Easy Key, Easy Flip and Easy Charge, and now enhanced through seamless digital experiences,” he said.
Ashish Lodha, President, Jio Platforms, said the partnership reflects Jio’s vision of building a connected automotive ecosystem in India. “By introducing voice assistance and IoT capabilities in the two-wheeler segment, we are redefining how riders interact with their vehicles and extending the benefits of smart mobility to a wider audience,” he said.
The companies said the collaboration supports India’s broader push toward smart, safe and sustainable mobility. By combining KWV’s engineering and manufacturing capabilities with Jio’s digital technology, the partnership aims to make connected EVs more affordable, enhance rider safety and convenience, improve digital uptime, and enable better analytics and operational efficiency for fleet operators.
The announcement builds on Kinetic Group’s over five-decade legacy in mobility, spanning iconic models such as the Luna and DX to its latest electric platforms. With the integration of IoT and voice-led digital systems, Kinetic Watts & Volts is positioning itself as a next-generation electric mobility player.
With this move, KWV becomes among the first companies in India to offer mass-market, voice-assisted connected electric scooters, signaling a new phase in how Indian riders engage with their vehicles and accelerating the transition toward smarter electric mobility.
