Toyota Kirloskar Motor (TKM) on Wednesday announced the launch of its customer-focused initiatives, TDRIVE and TDELIVER, at Prince Toyota in Sri Vijaya Puram, marking the company’s first-ever introduction of these programs in the Andaman & Nicobar Islands. The dual rollout reinforces Toyota’s commitment to enhancing road safety, customer experience, and responsible mobility across diverse and geographically challenging regions of India.
The inauguration ceremony at Prince Toyota was attended by senior leadership from Toyota Kirloskar Motor, including Mr. Tadashi Asazuma, Deputy Managing Director, and Mr. Arun Nair, Vice President – Strategic Business Unit (East Region), along with representatives from Prince Toyota and other stakeholders.
TDRIVE: Advancing Road Safety and Driving Discipline
As part of the launch, Toyota introduced TDRIVE, a structured motor vehicle training initiative, in partnership with Prince Toyota. This marks Toyota’s first motor vehicle training facility in the Andaman & Nicobar Islands, aimed at strengthening road safety awareness and promoting disciplined driving practices.
Aligned with Toyota’s long-term vision of building a “Safe Society,” TDRIVE offers high-quality, future-ready training through a combination of classroom sessions, advanced simulator-based learning, and supervised on-road training. The simulator, developed within an actual vehicle environment, allows trainees to smoothly transition from simulated scenarios to real-world driving conditions. Toyota continues to expand its nationwide network of driving schools as part of its broader goal of achieving zero road fatalities in India.
TDELIVER: Redefining Vehicle Delivery Standards
Toyota also launched TDELIVER in the Andaman & Nicobar Islands, extending its industry-first approach to new-vehicle delivery. Introduced nationwide in February 2024, TDELIVER uses flatbed carriers to transport vehicles directly from stockyards to delivery points, eliminating pre-delivery road usage. This ensures uniform vehicle quality, safer handling during transit, and enhanced customer satisfaction—at no additional cost to customers, even in complex last-mile locations.
With the activation at Prince Toyota, the Andaman & Nicobar Islands have become Toyota’s 1,000th TDELIVER location, achieving 100% coverage across Toyota dealerships in India. The milestone also coincides with the completion of one lakh TDELIVER services since the initiative’s inception in 2024.
Leadership Speak
Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Tadashi Asazuma, Deputy Managing Director, Toyota Kirloskar Motor, said the launch reflects Toyota’s unwavering commitment to fostering a culture of responsible mobility through comprehensive solutions. He thanked dealer partner Prince Toyota for supporting Toyota’s vision of promoting safety and enhancing customer satisfaction, adding that the introduction of TDRIVE and TDELIVER further strengthens customer trust while extending global standards of safe mobility to the region.
Mr. Sagar Khurana, Dealer Principal, Prince Toyota, said the partnership with Toyota Kirloskar Motor goes beyond products and services. He noted that by combining structured driver training with world-class delivery standards, the initiatives contribute meaningfully to shaping responsible behavior, trust, and a stronger road safety culture within the local community.
Strengthening Presence in the Region
With the launch of TDRIVE and TDELIVER at Prince Toyota, Toyota Kirloskar Motor has significantly reinforced its footprint in the Andaman & Nicobar Islands. The initiatives underscore Toyota’s philosophy of thoughtful mobility, focused on safety, customer experience, and long-term trust.
