ACCIONA’s electric mobility brand, Silence, has launched the updated version of its S02 scooter, introducing new design, performance, and safety enhancements aimed at strengthening its position in the urban electric mobility market.
The revamped S02 features a larger front wheel designed to improve balance and road stability. For the first time, the model also includes under-seat storage capable of accommodating a full-face helmet—an upgrade driven by user demand.
Weighing 132 kilograms, the new version is lighter than its predecessor, offering improved handling in dense urban environments. The scooter delivers an approved range of 138 kilometers, placing it among the leading models in its category.
Silence has released two versions of the updated scooter: the L1e, classified as a moped with a maximum speed of 45 km/h and priced at €2,990, and the L3e, capable of reaching 85 km/h, which will retail in Spain for €3,490.
The new S02 retains the removable 5.6 kWh battery system used in earlier models. The battery can be charged via a standard household outlet or swapped for a fully charged unit in under 30 seconds at any of Silence’s 180 swap stations in Spain or 20 locations in France. The battery remains interchangeable with Silence’s S01 scooter and S04 nanocar.
Connectivity features have also been expanded. The S02 now integrates with the My Silence mobile app, enabling keyless access, vehicle location tracking, remote battery monitoring, and temporary sharing permissions. The scooter includes three driving modes—Eco, City, and Sport—designed to fit varied use cases.
ACCIONA said the upgraded model provides operational advantages for delivery services, professional fleets, and shared mobility operators due to its ability to operate continuously without charging downtime and its enhanced digital fleet management capabilities.
