Maruti Suzuki Unveils ‘One India, One EV Charging’ Platform; Targets 1 Lakh Public Chargers by 2030

Marking a major milestone in India’s electric mobility transition, Maruti Suzuki India Limited has announced a nationwide EV charging ecosystem under the banner “One India, One EV Charging Platform.” The initiative includes a comprehensive end-to-end digital charging solution and a historic collaboration with 13 leading Charge Point Operators (CPOs) and aggregators.

The move positions Maruti Suzuki as fully EV-ready ahead of the launch of its upcoming electric vehicles, led by the e VITARA Born EV, which boasts a certified driving range of 543 km.

Nationwide Charging Network for a Unified EV Experience

As part of the initiative, Maruti Suzuki now offers:

  • 2,000+ exclusive Maruti Suzuki charging points across its showroom and service network, spanning 1,100+ cities
  • A vast partner-operated network integrated into a single platform
  • A strategic roadmap to enable over 1,00,000 public charging points by 2030

The company has also deployed a 1.5 lakh-strong EV-trained workforce and activated 1,500+ EV-ready service workshops nationwide to ensure a seamless ownership experience.

New Digital Platform: ‘e for me’ App

Maruti Suzuki’s new ‘e for me’ EV charging mobile app consolidates home charging setup, public charging access, navigation, and payments—offering a unified digital journey for EV users. The app integrates UPI and Maruti Suzuki Money, powered by Razorpay.

From booking an e VITARA to day-to-day charging, the app aims to simplify every customer touchpoint.

Pan-India ‘e Drive’ Flagged Off

To demonstrate the real-world readiness of its EV charging network, Maruti Suzuki flagged off four e VITARA EVs from Gurugram to the country’s four extremities:

  • Srinagar (North)
  • Kanyakumari (South)
  • Bhuj (West)
  • Dibrugarh (East)

This nationwide ‘e Drive’ will validate the EV ecosystem across highways and cities, showcasing accessible charging intervals of 5–10 km across key city locations and fast-charging availability on major routes.

Mr. Hisashi Takeuchi, Managing Director & CEO of Maruti Suzuki India Limited, highlighted the company’s commitment:

e VITARA: Tested for India and Beyond

The Made-in-India e VITARA has undergone over 1 crore km of testing across extreme temperatures ranging from -30°C to 60°C, proving reliability “from Sand to Snow.” Maruti Suzuki says the model is engineered to deliver global-standard EV performance, supported by its robust charging ecosystem.

With this announcement, Maruti Suzuki reinforces its commitment to accelerating EV adoption across India—focusing on convenience, infrastructure, and customer confidence.
