Bengaluru-based energy-tech startup Exponent Energy has entered the three-wheeler EV retail business with the launch of its first Exponent Sales Point (ESP) Store in Laggere, Bengaluru. The new outlet marks a major step in the company’s strategy to accelerate the city’s transition to electric mobility through rapid-charging EVs and 24-hour retrofit services.
Located at Nandini Layout, the store will serve as a one-stop retail and retrofit hub for all Exponent-powered electric three-wheelers. Customers can explore the full range of Exponent-enabled vehicles, experience the company’s signature 0–100% rapid charging in 15 minutes, and learn about Exponent’s newly launched retrofit technology.
Retail + Retrofit Under One Roof
The ESP Store will also convert existing CNG and LPG three-wheelers into electric autos within 24 hours, offering drivers an affordable and quick path to electrification. Auto drivers can drop off their vehicles and pick up their fully retrofitted EVs the next day. With this first outlet operational, Exponent plans to open 15+ exclusive touchpoints across Bengaluru by FY26.
The company has so far launched five Exponent-enabled three-wheeler models in collaboration with OEMs including Montra Electric (Murugappa Group) and Kinetic Green, among others. All vehicles come with five-year warranties or 3,000 charging cycles, supported by Exponent’s growing network of 70+ rapid charging stations in the city.
Delivering a New Buying Experience
Ayush Bhargava, Head of Business at Exponent Energy, said the store offers a buying experience “auto drivers have never had before,” combining convenience, clarity and seamless access to EV technology.
“This store gives drivers firsthand exposure to our entire ecosystem—from exploring vehicles to upgrading existing ones. When they realise how easily and affordably they can shift to EVs, the transition becomes inevitable,” he noted.
Exponent Oto: Retrofit Tech Driving the Transition
In November 2025, Exponent introduced Exponent Oto, a retrofit solution capable of converting any CNG or LPG auto into an electric vehicle within 24 hours. With zero down payment, flexible EMIs, and an assured buyback after three years, the company estimates that drivers can save up to ₹5,000 per month, even after charging and EMI costs.
Pioneers of 15-Minute Rapid Charging
Founded in 2020 by former Ather Energy executives Arun Vinayak and Sanjay Byalal, Exponent has developed a technology ecosystem—e^pack (battery pack), e^pump (charging station) and e^plug (connector)—that enables 15-minute rapid charging on affordable lithium-ion cells. The technology now powers 2,500+ EVs, supported by 150+ charging stations, with over 1 million rapid charging sessions completed and 50 million km covered.
With the new ESP Store in Laggere, Exponent Energy aims to make EV adoption more accessible, reliable and scalable, strengthening its presence in India’s fast-growing electric mobility ecosystem.
