Hyundai Motor Company made a powerful statement at AutoMobility LA 2025 with the North American premiere of the IONIQ 6 N, its latest high-performance electric vehicle engineered to redefine EV driving dynamics.

Marking a significant milestone in Hyundai N’s electrification journey, the IONIQ 6 N brings motorsport-inspired engineering, cutting-edge battery systems, and unprecedented driver engagement features to the performance EV segment. The model will be available in limited quantities in the U.S. starting 2026.

Hyundai Motor Company President & CEO José Muñoz emphasized the brand’s mission: “With IONIQ 6 N, we aim to elevate electrified performance while delivering an entirely new avenue for enthusiasts to electrify their passion.”

Track-Bred Power: 641 HP and Precision Handling

The IONIQ 6 N is equipped with a dual-motor all-wheel-drive layout delivering 641 HP and 568 lb-ft of torque (with N Grin Boost). The EV rockets from 0–60 mph in under 3.2 seconds and reaches a top speed of 160 mph.

Engineered as part of Hyundai N’s three-pillar philosophy—Corner Rascal, Racetrack Capability, and Everyday Sportscar—the EV features:

  • Fully reengineered suspension geometry
  • Stroke-sensing Electronically Controlled Suspension (ECS)
  • Lowered roll center and improved axle stiffness
  • Motorsport-inspired aerodynamics with a swan-neck rear wing
  • Reinforced chassis with structural enhancements

Powering these capabilities is the upgraded 84 kWh N Battery system, offering improved cooling, endurance, and rapid 800V ultra-fast charging—10–80% in 18 minutes (under optimal conditions).

Everyday Usability Meets Extreme Performance

Despite its track credentials, the IONIQ 6 N promises everyday comfort with its redesigned chassis, stroke-sensing dampers and Hyundai SmartSense ADAS suite. Features such as Highway Driving Assist 2 and Remote Smart Parking Assist 2 enhance practicality and safety.

Design: Aggressive, Aerodynamic, Performance-First

The model debuts in Performance Blue Pearl, complemented by widened fenders, 20-inch forged wheels, and a drag coefficient of 0.27.
Interior highlights include:

  • Alcantara + leather performance bucket seats
  • N-exclusive steering wheel, metal pedals & knee support
  • Ambient Shift Light for visual shift cues
