As Europe accelerates toward its electric mobility goals, Huawei Digital Power made a bold statement at Huawei Connect Europe 2025, held on 29–30 October 2025 at the Palacio Municipal de Congresos in Madrid, Spain. The company unveiled its latest FusionCharge Solution — a next-generation, high-performance fast-charging ecosystem that merges photovoltaic (PV), energy storage (ESS), and EV charging into one intelligent platform.

Designed to overcome grid limitations and power constraints, Huawei’s FusionCharge Solution demonstrates how intelligent energy convergence can make ultra fast charging both sustainable and scalable. At the event, visitors witnessed how this technology is reshaping Europe’s charging landscape offering operators and mobility partners a smarter, cleaner way to power the road ahead.

The centerpiece of the showcase was the FusionCharge Liquid-Cooled Power Unit, a robust system capable of delivering up to 720 kW of total power and 500 A per connector. The fully liquid-cooled architecture ensures minimal noise exceptional reliability, and a 10-year service life, significantly reducing operating costs. Huawei’s design also improves heat management and overall power conversion efficiency — critical for long-term commercial operation.

A standout feature is Huawei’s power sharing matrix, which intelligently allocates power among charging dispensers to maximize utilization. This innovation enables ultra-fast charging even in weak-grid environments, as demonstrated at the FusionCharge showcase site in Madrid. Despite a modest 70 kVA grid connection, the system successfully delivered over 400 kW of charging capacity through energy storage support — a real-world example of innovation overcoming infrastructure limits.

With a reserved DC bus for ESS and PV integration, FusionCharge allows smooth coupling with renewable sources, transforming traditional charging into a flexible, clean-energy-driven process. Huawei Native PV+ESS+Charger is dedicated to charging. It has three unique values, higher safety by it’s end to end self-development, more benefits with scheduling, maximizing power resource utilization, with low costs and more convenient due to it’s one-for-all design and reliable service warranty.

This design enables intelligent peak shaving, minimizes grid stress, and supports energy self-sufficiency — key priorities for Europe’s decarbonization targets. In Spain, Huawei showcased how a weak 70 kVA grid now supports 400 kW ultra-fast charging thanks to this solution. The system enables rapid deployment without grid upgrades, while it’s weak grid support function provides reactive power to enhance grid stability.

Beyond its technology, Huawei emphasized a forward-looking vision: building an open, collaborative ecosystem that links charging infrastructure, the power grid, and the Internet of Vehicles (IoV). Through digital intelligence and data-driven insights, Huawei aims to support operators in optimizing network performance, reducing downtime, and improving the user experience.

For Europe’s fast-growing e-mobility sector, Huawei’s FusionCharge Solution delivers a clear message sustainable transport depends on smart energy integration. By fusing PV, ESS, and charging in a unified architecture, Huawei is not only powering vehicles but also driving the continent’s transition to a low-carbon, intelligent transportation future.
