Nissan has unveiled the 2026 Rogue Plug-in Hybrid, the brand’s first plug-in hybrid vehicle for the U.S. market, offering families a practical mix of electric driving capability, long-distance range, and three-row flexibility. The new Rogue PHEV delivers an EPA-estimated 38 miles of all-electric range and up to 420 miles of total driving range, aiming to meet daily commuting needs while supporting longer trips with gasoline-hybrid efficiency.
The new model will make its public debut at the Los Angeles Auto Show from November 21–30 and will go on sale early in 2026 in two trims, SL and Platinum.
Powered by a blend of two electric motors, a 20-kWh lithium-ion battery, and a 2.4-liter gasoline engine, the Rogue PHEV produces 248 horsepower and 322 lb-ft of torque—quicker than the standard Rogue. A full Level 2 charge takes approximately 7.5 hours. Nissan equips the model with standard Intelligent All-Wheel Drive and seven selectable drive modes, including Snow, Gravel and Mud.
Inside, the Rogue Plug-in Hybrid features a 9-inch touchscreen with wireless Apple CarPlay, wired Android Auto, and a 12.3-inch digital driver display. The Platinum grade adds a head-up display, Bose premium audio system, and 120-volt power outlets capable of running small appliances.
Designed for families, the three-row SUV seats seven and provides flexible cargo space, including room for four golf bags with the third row folded. A motion-activated power liftgate and 70-degree rear door openings improve accessibility for passengers and parents installing child seats.
Safety technologies come standard, including 11 airbags and Nissan Safety Shield 360, which integrates Automatic Emergency Braking, Blind Spot Warning, Rear Cross-Traffic Alert and more. ProPILOT Assist 1.1 provides steering, braking and acceleration support during highway driving.
Nissan says the Rogue Plug-in Hybrid plays a major role in its Re:Nissan strategy to renew and electrify the product portfolio. “This dual capability reflects Nissan’s commitment to meeting customers’ needs to enjoy the upside of having both an EV and a traditional SUV in a single vehicle,” said Ponz Pandikuthira, senior vice president and chief product officer, Nissan Americas.
The 2026 Rogue Plug-in Hybrid arrives at U.S. dealerships in early 2026.
