In a major push toward its electric mobility vision, Kinetic Engineering Limited (KEL) announced the commencement of deliveries for its Kinetic DX electric scooter through its subsidiary, Kinetic Watts & Volts (KWV). The move follows strong market demand and overwhelming bookings within just six months of the brand’s market entry.
KEL, one of India’s most trusted names in mobility engineering and component manufacturing, has infused ₹9 crore in the last quarter to raise its stake to 80% in KWV. The company aims to sell 5,000 electric vehicles by March 2026, contributing approximately ₹50 crore to its consolidated revenue.
Following ARAI homologation and completion of testing, KWV inaugurated its first showroom on October 16, 2025, with deliveries of the Kinetic DX scheduled to begin by the end of November 2025. The company has already issued over 50 Letters of Intent (LOIs) across key northern and western cities including Pune, Mumbai, Baroda, Surat, Indore, Bhopal, Delhi, Gurgaon, Jaipur, and Lucknow. Five new dealerships are set to open this month, with a target of 200 dealerships nationwide by FY 2026–27.
Buoyed by strong consumer response, KWV is now projecting 60,000 EV sales and ₹600 crore revenue for FY 2026–27, which will bring the Kinetic Group’s consolidated revenue forecast to ₹800 crore. The southern region will be the next focus for dealership expansion.
The response to KWV has been exceptional, with bookings far exceeding projections — a reflection of deep trust in the Kinetic brand,”
said Ajinkya Firodia, Vice Chairman, Kinetic India. The Kinetic DX is fast emerging as the preferred everyday scooter for Indian families, offering segment-leading features such as Easy Key, Easy Charge, Easy Flip, a robust metal body, 37-litre storage, and low maintenance, making it a dependable daily companion, he added.
On the manufacturing side, Kinetic Engineering Ltd. continues to strengthen its capabilities with a newly inaugurated robotic chassis line, upgraded paint shop, and expanded metal pressing facilities. These advancements are supporting production for both E-Luna and Kinetic DX, reflecting the company’s strong backward integration within the EV ecosystem.
With a profitable financial base, robust demand, and an expanding EV distribution network, Kinetic Engineering Ltd. is strategically positioned to scale its electric mobility business and reinforce its legacy as a leader in India’s evolving EV landscape.
