VinFast Unveils EB 8 and EB 12 Electric Buses in Europe, Strengthening Global e-Mobility Footprint

Vietnamese electric vehicle manufacturer VinFast has officially entered Europe’s public transportation market with the launch of its EB 8 and EB 12 electric bus models at Busworld Europe 2025. The debut marks a significant expansion of VinFast’s portfolio from personal EVs to public transit solutions, reinforcing its mission to make electric mobility accessible to all.

The 12-metre EB 12 city bus, which meets UNECE and CE regulations, is now available for order in Europe, while the compact 8-metre EB 8 will follow soon. Both models are backed by comprehensive, unlimited-mileage warranties, underscoring VinFast’s confidence in its technology and quality.

The EB 8 features a 200 kW central motor with a top speed of 80 km/h and a 359 kWh battery offering a range of over 290 km per charge. Designed for urban environments, it can accommodate up to 60 passengers, including a dedicated wheelchair space. Key features include fast charging (120 kW), air suspension, and advanced safety systems such as ABS, EBD, and Hill-start Assist.

The EB 12, VinFast’s flagship full-size electric bus, is powered by twin 125 kW wheelhub motors delivering a combined 250 kW output. Its 422 kWh battery enables a 400 km range with 140 kW fast charging support. The bus offers premium amenities like dual-zone climate control, 26 USB charging ports, LED interior lighting, and advanced driver-assistance systems including Driver Drowsiness Warning, Blind Spot Detection, and Intelligent Speed Assistance.

Both models will be produced at VinFast’s Vietnam-based manufacturing facility, with deliveries expected to begin in 2026. The company plans to build strategic partnerships to establish a distribution network across Germany, the Netherlands, Belgium, Sweden, and Central and Eastern Europe.
