Magenta Mobility, India’s largest fully integrated commercial EV logistics solutions provider, has announced a strategic leadership transition as it gears up for its next phase of accelerated growth in cargo electrification.
Under the new structure, Founder & Director Maxson Lewis will assume the role of Founder & Chairman, while Sujit Cherian has been appointed Chief Executive Officer (CEO). The move aims to strengthen leadership continuity and sharpen operational focus as India pushes toward its net-zero commitments and rapid electrification of logistics.
As CEO, Cherian will spearhead Magenta’s strategic vision, operational excellence, commercial partnerships, and market expansion. Meanwhile, Lewis will focus on long-term strategy, technology alliances, industry collaborations, and policy engagement to advance the company’s mission of decarbonising mobility.
“From a small team with a bold vision to becoming one of India’s most trusted names in clean mobility, Magenta’s journey has been nothing short of remarkable. This leadership transition is about future-proofing that journey,” said Lewis. “With Sujit leading day-to-day operations, I will focus on shaping not only Magenta’s roadmap but also the broader EV logistics ecosystem in India and beyond.”
Expressing his vision, Cherian said, “I am excited to lead Magenta into its next phase of growth. With a strong foundation built by Maxson, we are poised to scale our fleet, deepen collaborations, and deliver transformative impact as India accelerates its clean mobility transition.”
Currently operating a fleet of 2,700+ electric vehicles across 22 cities, Magenta has enabled over 600 lakh clean kilometres, partnering with leading players in e-commerce, logistics, and mobility. With renewed leadership and expansion plans, the company is set to play a defining role in India’s green transport revolution.
