Enphase Energy, Inc., the global leader in microinverter-based solar and battery systems, has opened U.S. pre-orders for its next-generation electric vehicle charger, the IQ® EV Charger 2. The launch was announced at RE+ 2025 in Las Vegas, where the company is showcasing the product at Booth F17702 inside Caesars Forum.

The IQ EV Charger 2 is designed to integrate seamlessly with Enphase solar and battery systems, while also functioning as a powerful standalone charger. Its intelligent energy management features are built to lower costs, boost solar self-consumption, and provide a smarter EV charging experience for both homes and businesses.

Key features include:

  • Solar-optimized charging: Checks for surplus solar energy every 30 seconds and adjusts charging in 1-ampere increments to maximize clean energy use.
  • Smart load balancing: UL 3141-certified technology dynamically adjusts charging rates, reducing the need for costly panel upgrades.
  • High-power performance: Delivers up to 19.2 kW at 240 V for homes and 22.1 kW at 277 V for commercial applications with NACS connector support.
  • Future-ready: Equipped with ISO 15118-20 hardware/software to enable upcoming AC bidirectional charging for vehicle-to-home (V2H) and vehicle-to-grid (V2G).
  • Durability and design: UL-certified enclosure withstands extreme weather while offering a sleek black aesthetic.

“The IQ EV Charger 2 gives homeowners a smarter, more flexible way to manage EV charging,” said Jayant Somani, senior vice president and general manager of Enphase Energy’s digital business unit. “Whether it’s pairing with solar for green charging or optimizing for the lowest electricity rates, this charger puts customers in control of their energy.”

The charger supports virtually all EVs sold in North America and comes with a five-year limited warranty and 24/7 customer support. It also integrates with charge point operators and energy management service providers via OCPP and Modbus for commercial deployment.

Earlier in 2025, Enphase rolled out the IQ EV Charger 2 across 14 European countries, Australia, and New Zealand. U.S. shipments are expected to begin in November 2025.
