Hyundai Motor India Limited (HMIL) has announced that its nationwide EV charging network has delivered over 2.3 million units of clean energy through more than 1.8 lakh charging sessions, helping avoid 1.6 million kilograms of CO₂ emissions. The milestone highlights Hyundai’s growing role in building India’s electric mobility ecosystem.
As of August 2025, HMIL has set up 119 public fast charging stations across highways, major cities, and dealerships, with a target of 600 stations nationwide in the coming years. The network offers 97% uptime, advanced DC fast chargers with multiple configurations, and customer-friendly facilities such as marshals, CCTV surveillance, and nearby amenities.
“Hyundai Motor India is strongly positioned to lead the acceleration of EV adoption across the country. Along with EVs like the IONIQ 5 and CRETA Electric, we are building a robust ecosystem to address range anxiety and enable seamless charging access for all EV customers,” said Jae Wan Ryu, Function Head – Corporate Planning, HMIL.
Hyundai’s myHyundai app integrates over 20,000 charging points from HMIL and partner networks, allowing users to locate, book, and pay digitally. The company has also introduced Hyundai Pay, India’s first in-car payment platform, enabling EV charging payments directly from a vehicle’s infotainment system.
Hyundai is prioritizing Tamil Nadu with a plan to install 100 fast charging stations in the state, of which 16 are already operational. Nationwide, its stations are strategically placed in key cities including Gurugram, Mumbai, Pune, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Ahmedabad, and Chennai, as well as along major highways such as Delhi–Chandigarh, Delhi–Jaipur, and Mumbai–Pune.
With 542 sales outlets in 238 cities, home charging solutions, and strategic partnerships with charge point operators, HMIL is reinforcing its commitment to India’s carbon neutrality goals and the Government’s vision for mass EV adoption.
