Maruti Suzuki India Limited, the Indian subsidiary of Suzuki Motor Corporation, has unveiled its latest SUV, the Victoris, marking a major push in the country’s booming SUV segment.
The Victoris will be manufactured at the company’s Kharkhoda Plant and sold through Maruti Suzuki Arena outlets. Beyond India, the SUV will also be exported to more than 100 countries and regions, underlining Suzuki’s global ambitions.
Sporting a futuristic design, the Victoris features a chiselled body form, LED headlights, and sleek rear combination lamps. The interiors blend modern styling with comfort, offering a 64-color ambient lighting system, a 10.1-inch infotainment screen with Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™, and a premium Dolby Atmos surround sound system powered by Infinity speakers.
The SUV comes with three powertrain options – a 1.5L mild hybrid, a 1.5L strong hybrid, and a CNG variant with an innovative underbody tank layout that frees up boot space.
For safety, it offers advanced features such as collision mitigation braking, lane keep assist, blind spot monitoring, 360° camera, and tire pressure monitoring. Comfort-focused additions include a hands-free power tailgate and power-adjustable seats.
With SUVs already accounting for nearly 60% of India’s passenger car sales, Suzuki expects the Victoris’ mix of design, technology, and multiple fuel choices to strengthen its position in the country’s most competitive market segment.
