Hyundai Motor Company has unveiled a teaser image of Concept THREE, the first compact EV concept under its IONIQ sub-brand, ahead of its global premiere at the IAA Mobility 2025 in Munich from September 9 to 14. The announcement also marks Hyundai’s return to Europe’s largest mobility showcase after a four-year hiatus.
The teaser highlights a futuristic side profile shaped by Hyundai’s Art of Steel design language, featuring sculpted surfaces, clean intersections, and distinctive character lines. The design introduces the “Aero Hatch” typology, a fresh interpretation of the compact EV silhouette that combines motion, precision, and proportion.
“Designing Concept THREE was an opportunity for us to rethink the compact EV from the ground up. We defined the Aero Hatch typology to capture a sense of flow and create a beautifully proportioned sculpture,” said Simon Loasby, Senior Vice President and Head of Hyundai Design Center.
Exterior designer Manuel Schoettle added: “The authenticity of the way we treated the steel makes the Concept THREE extremely pure, and hopefully it will bring a smile to your face.”
Concept THREE will be showcased in detail at Hyundai’s IAA Open Space exhibit, where the company plans to highlight its role in reshaping the compact EV market and advancing sustainable innovation.
