Vietnamese automaker VinFast has officially announced the debut of its first international public transport solution, unveiling two advanced electric bus models at Busworld Europe 2025 in Brussels this October. This move marks VinFast’s entry into the European market, positioning the company as a global player in sustainable mobility.

The models, EB 8 and EB 12, have been engineered to meet strict EU standards, with the EB 12 fully homologated under UNECE and CE regulations. Featuring LFP battery packs from suppliers like CATL and Gotion, the buses will offer up to 422 kWh capacity and 400 km of real-world range. Fast charging at up to 140 kW enables turnaround times of just 2–3 hours.

Safety and passenger comfort are at the core of the new fleet, with onboard ADAS features including blind spot detection, forward collision warning, and driver drowsiness monitoring, alongside Wi-Fi, USB charging, infotainment, and kneeling suspension for accessibility.

VinFast Chairwoman Le Thi Thu Thuy emphasized the company’s long-term vision: “Europe shares VinFast’s vision of a green and sustainable future. With our buses, we are not just introducing new products—we are building an ecosystem that supports the region’s transition to zero-emission public transport.”

The buses are expected to be operational in EU markets by 2026, complementing VinFast’s existing European SUV lineup, which includes the VF 6 and VF 8. Having already established Vietnam’s first fully electric bus ecosystem, VinFast plans to replicate its model internationally, contributing to the EU’s climate goals of 90% zero-emission new buses by 2030 and 100% by 2035.
