GameChange BOS, a division of GameChange Energy Technologies, has inaugurated its state-of-the-art medium voltage transformer manufacturing facility in Taloja, Maharashtra. Spread over 180,000 sq. ft., the new plant can produce more than 1,800 transformers annually, marking a major boost to the company’s global supply capability.
The facility is designed to manufacture transformers ranging from 0.5 MVA to 25 MVA, with voltage ratings up to 69 kV. These products will serve high-growth sectors such as AI-driven data centres, renewable energy projects, battery energy storage systems (BESS), and large-scale electrification infrastructure in India, Europe, and the United States.
“We are revolutionising the experience of the customer in the transformer sector with fast delivery, great service, and unparalleled value pricing,” said Andrew Worden, CEO of GameChange BOS. “Our new factory enables us to address urgent market needs and positions us as a significant player in the global electrification movement,” he added.
Aligned with the Government of India’s Make in India and Atmanirbhar Bharat initiatives, the new unit strengthens domestic manufacturing, reduces import dependency, and positions India as a competitive exporter of advanced transformer solutions. The plant integrates advanced manufacturing technologies, rigorous quality testing, and streamlined production processes to meet international standards.
India’s electricity demand is expected to nearly triple by 2035, driven by industrial growth, electric mobility, data centres, and rising urban consumption. With decades of expertise in transformer design and manufacturing, GameChange BOS said it is investing in innovation and capacity to meet these emerging infrastructure requirements.
