In a major boost to India’s green mobility mission, EKA Mobility, a leading automotive and technology company, and Chartered Speed, a renowned player in passenger bus services, have partnered to deploy 1,135 electric buses under the Government of India’s Pradhan Mantri e-Bus Sewa Scheme.

The companies recently received the Letter of Confirmation of Quantity (LOCQ) for 235 buses, adding to the earlier confirmation of 900 units. The deployment is expected to serve over 3.6 lakh passengers daily and create more than 2,500 jobs, strengthening sustainable public transport infrastructure across the country.

Under the new allocation, Chartered Speed will procure, operate, and maintain fleets across multiple states, including Madhya Pradesh (110 buses), Odisha (60), Chhattisgarh (35), and Meghalaya (30).

“EKA Mobility’s mission has always been to make clean, safe, and efficient mobility accessible to all. Through the PM e-Bus Sewa Scheme and our collaboration with Chartered Speed, we are proud to deploy 1,135 electric buses that will serve lakhs of citizens every day. Every bus we put on the road is a step towards reimagining India’s cities, making them smarter, greener, and more people-centric,” said Mr. Rohit Srivastava, Business Head & Chief Growth Officer, EKA Mobility.

Echoing the sentiment, Mr. Sanyam Gandhi, Whole-Time Director, Chartered Speed, added: “This allocation under the PM e-Bus Sewa Scheme reflects our commitment to creating reliable, inclusive, and eco-friendly mobility solutions. Together with EKA Mobility, we aim to transform everyday travel and contribute meaningfully to India’s sustainable growth story.”

With this initiative, EKA Mobility and Chartered Speed are set to play a pivotal role in shaping the future of public transport, driving India’s transition toward clean, efficient, and inclusive urban mobility.
