The Asia-Pacific (APAC) automotive doors market is projected to expand at a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 1.0% between 2025 and 2030, according to a new report by GlobalData.
The study, “Global Sector Overview & Forecast: Automotive Doors Q2 2025,” forecasts market volume to rise from 241.9 million units in 2025 to 254.1 million units in 2030, fueled by vehicle production growth in China and India and rising demand for SUVs and crossovers.
“Manufacturers are increasingly using lightweight materials and advanced locking mechanisms to boost safety and fuel efficiency,” said Madhuchhanda Palit, Automotive Analyst at GlobalData. “Features like scissor and gullwing doors, though niche, reflect the growing appetite for stylish and technologically sophisticated designs.”
The report highlights that sound insulation technologies are becoming central, especially in electric vehicles (EVs) where quiet cabin acoustics are essential. Meanwhile, stricter safety regulations and the rise of autonomous vehicles are pushing manufacturers toward innovative door systems that ensure both protection and seamless passenger access.
Palit added that personalization and aesthetics are emerging as key buying factors, as consumers seek customized features that enhance comfort and style.
GlobalData concludes that automotive doors will remain a critical element in safety, comfort, and design evolution across the APAC auto industry, particularly as electrification and autonomy reshape mobility.
